His Majesty Fo Sikam Happi V
King of Bana — First-degree traditional ruler
Fo Sikam Happi Sylvestre V is the reigning King (Fo) of Bana, a Bamiléké kingdom in the Haut-Nkam division of Cameroon’s West Region. Enthroned on 1 March 2003 at the age of 17, he succeeded his father, Fo Konchipe Happi IV, as guardian of the traditions of the Bana people.
A reign in service of tradition
As a first-degree chief — the highest rank of traditional authority in Cameroon — His Majesty is the guardian of the kingdom’s cultic and cultural objects. He receives audiences, ennobles his notables, and safeguards the transmission of the customs, language, and history of the Bana people.
The Bana Kingdom
Founded in 1379 by Fo Tchokogwe, the Bana Kingdom is a first-degree Bamiléké chiefdom. Rooted in the Haut-Nkam division, it remains a pillar of identity, solidarity, and pride for all sons and daughters of Bana — at home and across the diaspora.
